So, I'm at a point in my life where I'm stuck deciding what I wanna do for work. I used to be a doctor in Asia, but when I came to the US, my anxiety and depression were so bad that I couldn't take the medical board exams. I kinda wasted some time, so going back to try again isn't an option. I'm a Highly sensitive person and I've been working on my mental health, and now I'm really interested in studying psychology and becoming a therapist to help others in need. But, I don't wanna go into debt for 8 years and then end up regretting it. Is there anyone out there who's a therapist and can give me some advice on how to get started and is it worth it? Thanks for taking the time to read it 🙂

I'm not a therapist so I can't speak to your specific question.
Maybe you should enquire at your local college. Find out your curriculum etc. See what that entails.
Honestly any profession you go into can go either way. You could interview 5 therapists and you may get different opinions based on their own personal insight.
I'm a big fan of follow your dreams.
Best of luck

Thanks for sharing your insight! I agree with you, it's all subjective and can go either way. I guess I need to be sure before committing to it coz it's not just a degree it's a lifestyle
