Been a little low the last week or so after a period when I have felt as good as I have felt in a long time. Been trying to get through it without showing or telling anyone how I feel. Then a friend in work comes out and says that the only thing that people with mental health issues need is a man up pill. My heart sank, it's so frustrating that so many are still so ignorant .

Thats not true. They do not know what it's like just ignore them too just like blue Lily said it's really easy for them to say that but it's so insensitive of them to say it because that's not true. Do not listen to them. They need to walk in your shoes to see how it feels like
He's a dummy. I don't even want to waste my words or time on a person like that.
I was off work for 6 months with mental heath issues and only 2 people have actually asked how i am doing, i think it is seen as a weakness not an illness
Its a good filter though to find out the ones that are actually worthy of your time and emotion, the others can go do one as the saying goes
I remember one time I was in the ER in the hospital here and some lady had said something about this one person who is having a nervous breakdown and I was completely offended by their lack of sensitivity and the other people around there that have problems like that and it's like you're actually a volunteer and you're acting like that I know I should have complained about that person it was so heartless what they said it's like I just wonder how they would feel if they were in that same situation that one person was happy because I felt really offended when I heard it and I know I should have brought it up to the local administrator some people are so cold and so heartless that they think like that
