Hello, all!
It’s been a while since I last posted to this site, but I am here to give a quick update on my counseling/journey to better health. I’ve been going to counseling for a few months now and I feel like it is helping me a lot with my mental health. I am currently working on improving my overall health by limiting screen time on my devices, journaling, and taking part in my hobbies such as reading. I’d like to start working more on my physical health by doing things like eating and sleeping on schedule, and taking my dogs on daily walks. Sometimes it is hard for me to step away from my schoolwork and chores - or just devices in general - and I get distracted to the point where I do not eat when I need to. If anyone has some helpful tips to combat this habit of mine with a better one, I would greatly appreciate it. I hope you all are well - or doing the best you can given the circumstances. Have a good day!
P.S. I have been using an app called Finch for around a year now. It’s a self-care app that helps me keep track of my tasks for the day and allows me to work on my health. It includes a little bird friend that goes on journeys and grows as you gain energy points from finishing your goals, reflections, and such. I find it very helpful to my well-being, and would highly recommend it to others.
