Beta blockers

I’ve been prescribed beta blockers for anxiety and they’ve made me feel worse. Has anyone experienced this? It’s frightening how I feel and I can’t stop crying. Thank you.

Hi there - while this hasn't happened to me, it did to my father. He went straight back to the Dr to end it in about a week. His was for blood pressure, but said it was the sickest he had ever felt. I am not sure if time would have helped....but would be a good first question for the doctor. If not....I hope you can get off of them and get squared away. I was offered this by my psychiatrist and declined based on my father. Please be safe!

I’ve had a good experience with beta blockers, but all meds don’t suit everyone unfortunately
