Thank you for the honesty. It's just hard to keep telling my husband and kids everything is fine when it really isn't .

never slept whole time just about my head was in agony agitated the lot ended up back on the meds I was trying to get off. ask if it`s possible to get something with the sleep for those two weeks or buy night all or something similar.

I'm a week in and I've had three panic attacks as well as just breakdowns. My dr recommends cbd-thc, but I'm so over committed with projects I can't afford to take it to help. I tried to go on a walk and got bit by a dog. Did not help the anxiety.

sorry about the dog bite a week in half way their hopefully it reduces over the next day or so.

I understand. Your situation sounds like when I ‘Crash.’ But for me, usually every spring when it starts to get warmer and the days are longer, I feel like I’m doing better and don’t need my Rx or I don’t need as much of it. So I’ll start cutting back on the dosage. And in a short time, I’ll crash. Part of it is thinking that I’m weak willed or whatever. If not this spring, sooner or later I’ll do it again.

I hope you get some Relief soon.

I've found that most doctors and even some psychiatrists are clueless about the reality of taking and stopping meds. The best way to quit any med is to slowly taper off of it and usually much slower than the doctor recommends. These people don't actually take the meds themselves so they really are clueless about it. I suggest you consider getting back on the med you were on and taper off of it slowly while slowly starting the new med. You can check on google to see if there is any real problems or conflicts with taking both meds at the same time briefly and usually there aren't.

I'm on a 3 week slow taper off then start the new one. Currently going off SSRI and then moving to SNRI. They won't even fill the new med until the other is out. Unfortunately it is making my anxiety crazy as well.

I'm glad to hear that you are tapering and not doing it cold turkey so it's not quite as rough. For what it's worth, I had tried a number of different SSRI's without success and then tried an SNRI (Pristiq) and it worked well for me so hopefully the SNRI will for you too. Those of us with anxiety have difficulty with uncertainty which is what is provoking your anxiety right now. One thing that helped me was learning about what anxiety really is and how to constructively deal with it which helped demistify it and lessen the fear about it. Anxiety is just our bodies builtin warning system malfucntioning and we need to learn to desensitize ourselves from the feelings and accept that the anxious thoughts are not real and to not believe them. It's not a quick fix but will help the more you learn about it and understand what it is really going on - knowledge eliminates fear. I found the DARE Anxiety book and youtube videos very helpful and also the youtube videos of Paige Pradko. I know it sounds easier said than done but the best thing you can do for yourself right now is to try to calm down some and give your body and mind a chance to adjust to the taper and starting the new med and try to resist feeding your anxiety with anxious thoughts and get on with your day, best to you.
