Has anyone decided to just switch from being negative to positive, despite some hardships. I am a person who is so stuck in negativity, that I have totally dismissed the good things that have happened in my life and I have done some amazing things and I have amazing people in my life.
I just feel like by focusing on the bad I am keeping it real about my life and constant positivity is being delusional.

I used to be negative all the time telling myself I’m just being realistic but then my realism is very biased and i tend to dismiss my achievements and focus on all the things I couldn’t do. I am learning to rewire my mind and it’s really tough going by the fact that I’ve poisoned it for many years but I’m staying positive and I’m liking it.
Thank you so much Big I am trying to do that myself, rewire my brain for positive. My issue is that I would say in the last 10 years I have met some real terrible people, so I dwell on them often. Just could not believe how disrespectful and vile some people can be.
I think there are ups and downs to both! Negativity allows us to be honest with ourselves and our environment, but too much can make us lose hope. Positivity gives us hope and allows us to enjoy life, but too much isn’t realistic. I like to stay positive with gratitude journals. I just list 3-5 things I am grateful for that day, big or small.
That is why I am working on moving. I feel like I have tried my best to make a happy life for myself here in California but it is not the place for me. I just did not want to leave here angry and bitter which I have become.
Yes, and it helps a lot to write down the positives, and read them often. Each day, write in a journal about the things to be thankful, even in the midst of turmoil. There is always something to be thankful for and focusing on that will help you feel better and attitude changes much. You are able, you can change the course of your life, by focusing on where you want to go.
