Here is more information on how important muscle contraction (exercise) is to our mood.
This url provides a quick explanation of the exercise effect: facebook.com/reel/727795155... (it works on my iPhone but may play up on a desktop.
This one is a scientific article on what happens on mood as a result of exercise. It's a lengthy read but makes clear that exercise, especially running has a great effect on depression. journals.physiology.org/doi...
This is going to provide me enough motivation for running for at least several months. I'm using the Couch to 5K programme from NHS.

hello swimming is a good all rounder good for muscle tone ,lungs breathing and is low no impact really on the joints unlike running, cycling is also good too for cadivascular health, runnings ok when younger if healthy but dont over work your heart over exercise can cause enlarged heart,i guess its that saying everything in moderation, get some good running shoes which lessen the impact 🤗
Just checked on your over-exercise link to enlarged hearts. You are correct but you would need to be engaged in chronic and extreme exercise over many years. washingtonpost.com/health/c...
I don’t want to enter Facebook right now. But I’ve been diving deeper into the relationship between yoga and muscles. I think the way you connect breathing and movement is part of it. That feeling you get in that connection is what gets people hooked. I like running but my body isn’t built for it.
