Here is more information on how important muscle contraction (exercise) is to our mood.

This one is a scientific article on what happens on mood as a result of exercise. It's a lengthy read but makes clear that exercise, especially running has a great effect on depression. journals.physiology.org/doi...

This is going to provide me enough motivation for running for at least several months. I'm using the Couch to 5K programme from NHS.

Any exercise is good, I think people have to find something they enjoy or they won't do it.

I don’t want to enter Facebook right now. But I’ve been diving deeper into the relationship between yoga and muscles. I think the way you connect breathing and movement is part of it. That feeling you get in that connection is what gets people hooked. I like running but my body isn’t built for it.
