Hi there Biltmore. Work mental health issues are on the rise. Before I fell sick, I was working 70 hours a week for corporate America. Yay, work from home with COVID. This meant I was available 247. I quit my job in mid 2021 after losing 40 pounds and needing proper treatment. There are very few people I know who are happy working at the moment. There are all sorts of reasons. Here is my suggestion because I did this before I quit....not saying you should quit though...but a suggestion. At the end of the work day, I created a work email to myself that noted the struggles of the day, who I needed to stay away from and why (triggering people) and then next steps for the next day. Good documentation for HR if ever needed and I did. Next steps mean how do I survive the next day at work. I knew it had to stop. I realized I was being abused by my employer. The job I eventually ended in was formerly a job a four people, and I had to do it all. I needed to see the daily trends to feel confident that these issues at work were real and needed action. I tried my HR department before quitting.....they toe the company line and wow that is a tough pill. Everyone teammate I had went to HR on our boss and nothing was done. If I were well enough to work, I would be at a new company. Can't say it would be great because we never know.....but know that work is driving people insane all over the globe. If you can keep it to 40 hours, you should be able to find some time to yourself to evaluate the job, the people and what's next for you. If there is a particular person, I always advocate trying to resolve with one person. However, toxic folks won't want to resolve and you may need to move on or work with your boss to get to some other job. The job I had before the one mentioned, I loved. It was a lot of travel and with three little ones I had to stop.
