I know that for my parents and their parents there is stigma when it comes to mental health. Is that is relevant in todays society? Or are we more accepting of it and understanding?

Is there stigma with having anxiety?
I think both .
From my experience grandparents still have that sort of “your being over dramatic” vibe n parents used to but now they’re understanding more n then it’s practically normalized amongst gen z.
TBH I feel like there is too much emphasis on labels and not enough on life skills. Labels can cause people to think they "will always be that way" and then they try less. I say it is good if the stigma is less but bad if people aren't focusing on life skills as a result. Bad if they don't think they can get better.
I think there is a lot more information and resources about than ever before and even more public awareness about it but I do think there is some stigma that still exists about it. For instance I would be very cautious about confiding in someone at work about it unless I really trusted them for fear of reprisal from the company.
