Did anyone who took celexa notice it actually increased your anxiety? I've been on it and it was upped to 20mg over a month ago. If anything it should've been better by now right? I've heard it gets worse before better but it's been over a month

Anxiety and Celexa
Hi,
There is no standard time to notice a change because each person has a different chemistry and degree of problem despite having the same diagnosis and taking the same drug. Not very helpful I know.
Changes usually take place in 4-6 weeks.
If you are not happy about side effects in the meantime, contact your doctor.
Over time you and the doctor will find something that works.
The best treatment is medication and talk therapy. The drug calms the nervous system so that you can get the most out of therapy.
Wishing you all the best from Australia 🐈⬛
Yes and I think it was that serotonin was increased too quickly. This is my personal opinion.
A lot of meds can take 4 - 6 weeks to take affect and even longer. One of the issues with anxiety is that we want it to work immediately and we hyper focus on it and blow any sensation out of proportion and fear the worst all of which make us feel worse and more anxious. The best thing you can do is relax some and get on with your day and give the med time to work and take affect to see if it helps you.
