Ah! But sometimes I am the problem. Realizing I can be the problem is the way to accepting that I’m not perfect and never will be. But I can accept responsibility and try to do better. Because when I don’t accept responsibility, I can’t change and am forever to repeat the problem causing behavior.

That is SO true. I've accepted responsibility and apologized for a mistake I made last December, and I have grown because of it! The person I made the mistake to has not accepted responsibility for her role (or at least I don't think she has since she ran from me instead of apologizing) and she's ummm.....well, last I heard she was still stepping on peoples' toes. I've grown so much as a person. I wish I could say the same for her. One of the things keeping me going is feeling a little sorry for her.

Hope you're well, my friend!

You got it, girl! That’s growth.

Your friend ran…it’s hard to accept responsibility if you’re not used to it. But once you start, it becomes easier because the reward is there. Your friend hasn’t experienced the rewards yet. That is sad for her. All we can do is stand by and hope….it’s out of our control.

I’m doing well, Norw. I’m a little excited today because of the elections, but I’ve got comfort….fried chicken, fried cabbage and some kind of ooey gooey chocolate mystery dessert and some banana pudding. Wake me when it’s over. 😋

in reply to Isinatra

The thing is that she's 80....

Wake me when....😂😂😂😂 You're funny! Did you say ooey, gooey chocolate? I'll be right over. I'm glad you're doing well!

It normally comes in December. Once its here, it makes itself at home for too many months. Way too many months.....At least I don't live above the Arctic Circle. The sun forgets to make an appearance there....

That’s a lot of downtime. How do you cope with or counteract that?

in reply to Isinatra

As to the sentiment on the picture…..I become a victim when I give those people the power to hurt me. How to not let those people hurt me? I fahget about it 🤌! It becomes easier the older I get. It’s a perk of aging. Memories fade quicker and what were we just talking about?
