Help with sertraline...

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help I am so poorly after starting sertraline 50mg took it for 7days my anxiety feels unbearable, got tremors and can't sleep. I cant hold it out any longer. Doctor said to stop taking it and that i dont need to wean off it but nervous to go cold turkey incase that also makes me even worse (that's if that's possible to feel any worse) has anyone had similar experience? I feel so scared right now.

Hi there sorry to hear your having such problems with your medication I'm surprised your doctor has not suggested any thing to take whilst you reduce your serialise have they said they will change your medication at any point please go back to them and raise your concerns I wish you all the best good luck !

He's prescribed diazepam while I come off the sertraline but I'm on propanlol too. just not keen on being drugged up. This is half of my battle as I have ocd and overthink everything.

I suggest you taper off the sertraline for your peace of mind, it won't make you feel any worse and may help rather than just quitting abruptly.
