HI. I just clicked on your profile, then "Posts". ALL of your posts have received a number of responses except one. What are/were you hoping for/expecting?
thank
You need to realize that this is an international community with different time zones so we all see posts at different times and it takes some of us longer to respond to them. It's nothing personal.
Even if sometimes our posts get ignored, it is still better to have someplace to share our thoughts rather than just being alone
your all right, I understand time difference too. It's just my severe bipolar disorder also convince me that I'm being ignored when not answered soon, it's difficult but I understand.
Hi there. I hear you about your brain convincing you that you're being ignored. This is where I find CBT helpful. I think of alternative possibilities: maybe so-and-so is busy, maybe they aren't in a good place to answer, maybe they are thinking about what to say, maybe they meant to and just plain forgot, etc. There's another exercise I'm using for a situation I'm currently going through that is really helpful, and that taking those alternative possibilities and putting a percentage by them for how likely it is that that is possible.
For example, I'm currently thinking that someone is talking to others about something I did last year, and they are going along with it and hating me as well. Just like high school gossipers. "So-and-so did this, so let's all hate them". I take that thought and think of negations. The one I've thought of is "these are teenagers but adults, and adults know better. They know how to think for themselves, and to maybe back away from someone who is gossiping". I then take that thought and put a percentage by it. Since adults are much more mature than teenagers, the percentage is much higher. But since there are unfortunately still adults out there who act like teenagers, the percentage is not at 100. It's more at 94%. This is pretty darn good.
I hope this helps somewhat. It's awful to feel ignored, so maybe you could try CBT (or go further like I did here and put a percentage by how possible each alternative might be)
alternatively, dont pay any attention to those negative thoughts and let them go. It's just negative energy generated by anxiety finding an outlet ( in the way if negative thoughts). Perfectly natural under the circumstances but the trick is to stop feeding those thoughts, observe inistead of engaging with them (believing or reacting to them) and they will gradually disappear altogether.
