distrust in Healthcare

It really bothers me 360° that the Healthcare industry only what to treat symptoms rather than see people well getting on with there life and function normal and if you was to try and go to a Alternative Medical Doctor your insurance won't pay everything is out of pocket but they will cover insurance forjust a regular medical Dr ...I see all these different meds commercials and at the very end dangerous side effects ...I have trust issues even with these meds I'm on ...Battling mental issues is NO JOKE MORE MONEY NEED TO BE PUMPED TO REDUCE THESE PROBLEMS WITH NATURAL REMEDIES THAT WILL WORK WITH NO SIDE EFFECTS PERIOD .....

totally hear you and I have given this a lot of my attention. I made a rant on Facebook one day and a friend who is a professor in medical recommended an office that takes insurance and doesn’t act like it is getting kick backs. I was lucky. But still the got bought by another company.

I do believe western medicine has its place. I don’t believe all alternatives are worth it or necessarily safe either. They are still chemical but without research and FDA scrutiny. You need to be able to get advice so you can use any tool not just a pill. This is especially true with mental health. If you can afford it there are care givers that do this but insurance is also horrible for mental health professionals. If they are any good it just isn’t worth it to them.

Back to primary care… a new trend is spreading in response to high insurance called direct pay. You pay the office a subscription and have a doctor close to on call. They don’t take insurance. If I were under 35 I would get catostrophic insurance and direct pay. That isn’t an option at my age. So I do pay them 1200/year. My deductible is 7k. I may come close to making up that 1200 fee by the end of the year. 1200 vs 7k. A doctor who has time to learn holistic treatments instead of filling out paperwork.
