Birthday stress

it’s my birthday tomorrow and I don’t really have much planned. My daughter is about to be admitted to a facility for an eating disorder—I feel so worried for her. She is 16. Can’t say that I feel like a great Dad these days. My family has had a very difficult time over the past two years. Honestly, the super hero dad that I was kinda fell down after another triggering trauma. Sorry to babble, feeling down and alone.

I wish your daughter well in her admittance to get the help she needs for an eating

disorder. I so understand the worry and stress that comes along with it since my

own daughter has struggled with that issue for years. (refuses help)

That super hero dad may be buried deep down right now but know that when the time

is right, you will once again shine in your children's eyes. xx

Something happened to you and you needed to help yourself. Try not to put yourself down, if you can. I know it's easier said than done.

Thank you! My therapist has said the same—it’s good for me family to see Dad fall sometimes.
