Hi world. Im here I think to stop feeling so alone in the battle with panic disorder. I recently have become suicidal and was in the hospital for 2 weeks to help with medication and tools. It didn't help. I am a mom with an 8 year old and I still cannot stop thinking about what it would be like to end my life. Do they ever stop?

Sending hugs to everyone who may need one. Thanks for being here.

Im sorry you are going through this, i know words feel empty but you are not alone, please keep your child in mind whenever your thoughts get this dark. Find a therapist if you don't already have one, reach out to friends or family, we are here for you

Thank you for your post.

I am sorry that you feel terrified and overwhelmed and constantly worry at the moment.

Louie35 is right in that is so important to have supportive people you can trust to help you work through the panic attacks. Those of us that have had them often refer to them as PAs for short.

PAs for me were best tackled with the aid of a therapist. My experience was being guided by the therapist to deliberately bring on a PA and then work through the attack, to show that in fact you are safe and nothing bad will happen.

So in answer to your question, YES, YES, YES, those PAs will stop.

Hello ,. They will stop. You have to make a conscious decision that you are going to live, and that you are going to keep fighting regardless of the thoughts, regardless of all the BS and toxic As*h*l*s in your life ! Etc, Etc,. Once you take a stand that YOU ARE going to STAND UP and keep fighting because NONE of the BS in this life is worth taking your life, period. I'm NOT saying it's going to be easy here in this life, because it's not supposed to be. The more you can come to terms with and Truly understand and "ACCEPT" that it's not supposed to be easy at all" and your going through this hell for a reason, and do some soul- searching to Find the reason/s why YOU think your going through all this,. Will make things, people, and BS easier to deal with. You CAN get through this too, just think how much stronger you'll be when you make it through,. :)

Yes they stop when you figure out a daily maintenance plan to not let the anxiety get too strong. Here’s what works for me. Every morning the Wim Hof guided breathing exercises free on you tube. 30-40 minutes of daily cardio exercise to burn off steam and produce endorphins and seratonin and dopamine. A 5-8 minute cool shower or bath. Or dip in the lake or ocean etc. Lower the temperature a bit each week. This is Wim Hof again and it’s all free on you tube. You don’t need to pay to learn breathing and cold water. No stimulants caffiene etc . Just hug and snuggle your daughter and slow down. Don’t live in the past or future.,? Live only for today.
