Were you dreaming when it happened? I suffer from PTSD, and my night terrors can keep me up all night. Sometimes I am triggered prior to sleep, and it will make it impossible for me to sleep, even for a bit. I try to do some meditation and yoga in the evenings when I know, or when something happens, that will hinder it for me.

Also, maybe consult a doc before trying this, but for ME, I take a Benadryl before bed and it helps me to sleep, and helps my allergies and sinus pressure. It works better than sleep aids.
