Has anyone noticed they seem to do better with a schedule/routine? Two months ago I left my temp job because I hated it and I have majorly gone down hill since. I feel so lost I’m back to getting anxiety everyday hard to leave my house even hard to leave my room or bed I feel paralyzed and so lost. I’m barely eating and I know I should eat because mental illness takes a lot out of you. But I can’t find anything I’m hungry for and I see a lot of things that are like eat high protein nutritional food I don’t know what that is. I hate my self right now I hate who I see in the mirror or the pictures I want routine back I want a job I feel like I’m at the bottom again and I’m only 22 I’ve felt the same way I’m feeling now when I was 16-17 but right now it feels weirder and harder to deal with.

Hi Adamj, I also feel as though I do better on a routine. No matter what you do, try to eat, even force yourself. Incorporate what you’re going to eat into your schedule (if that makes any sense), make some designated times for it. Try some crackers, broth, or even toast. It’s easy on the stomach, and when I’m anxious- that’s what I’ll have so it doesn’t make me sick. Sorry you’re dealing with this. Message me anytime
A routine is essential when dealing with depression and anxiety. Although you're not working...still set a schedule! Besides eating include some light exercise and finding another job. What are your life goals? What do you enjoy?
As for the types of food - eat chicken (including eggs) and fish. Lots of good brain protein in them.
Sounds like you need a purpose. Message me if you want to explore this.
