Hello Iam on my first week on sertaline 25 mg , I’ve feel like my anxiety has gone up a lil more , any one else has experience that ?? Thanks

It made me very emotional. I was crying at any sad news. It didn't help my depression.

When I first went on Sertraline, I also noticed anxiousness, I told my psychiatrist and was given an anti anxiety med with it until the side effects diminished.

I have been on Setraline for a while for anxiety. It does take a number of weeks to take affect. Looking back I still experience anxiety. I think it is part of my make up. However it is manageable anxiety and vastly different to the often severe anxiety of the past. Work with your doctor to get the dosage correct for you. There is always the option to try another medication at some point as well. I hope it helps you.

Hi Pablo!! I have been on Sertraline for over a year and it seems to have helped me more the longer I've been on it. My dosage has been upped to 75 mg and that has seemed to help tremendously but whenever I was on the 25 mg I've noticed the same thing. Plus, the first couple of weeks on it I was so anxious and sick so they just told me to give it some time and take an over the counter anti nausea until it went away. I also take "Hydroxyzine 50 mg" as needed and that helps as well. Hopefully as time goes on it gets better or if you are okay with pushing through this medication if they increase it like they did mine it helped. I have heard also that others take it at night, I take mine in the morning when I get up before work and have noticed that helps me start my day as well. Hopefully you can get some answers and some medication that helps to make your anxiety better
