Anxiety
Hello and welcome!
I was just reading today that covid can cause depression and anxiety. I didn't know that.
Hi! Yes! I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression my whole life, but with the pandemic my anxiety intensified so badly that I’ve barely left my home the last two year. I’m not scared of contracting Covid, it’s just an overall anxious feeling about leaving home and being put in any social situation. I want to leave home but the physical symptoms are so horrendous it becomes impossible. Sweating, confusion, agitation.. a feeling of not being in control at all. I no longer am able to work, avoid everyone and have become so depressed. I’m a good person yet I have no feelings one way or another, so upsetting. Nothing brings any type of satisfaction or happiness and I only feel somewhat ok in my room alone. I don’t know what to do anymore :/
I understand, I have anxiety and depression as well. I also contracted Covid and was hospitalized in Jan and then involuntarily committed due to mania from the steroids. I've since taken a leave of absence from my job so many days do not leave my house due to my anxiety. But, from my experience, being isolated only makes things worse. It sounds like you suffer with severe panic attacks. Perhaps meditation and or meds could help? I have a prescription for propranolol that I take if my physical anxiety symptoms get bad. I also practice deep breathing and meditation(free videos on utube). It's worth looking into, you deserve to have a life worth living. Do you have friends or family you can reach out to for support?
Yes... the list is unbelievable stuff after the initial case of Covid. Some of us like myself have Long Covid. I'm allergic to bees and couldn't get the injections at first...then I got sick. Very sick, but didn't go to the hospital... I'm afraid of them.
