I so totally agree with this. I feel that as parents childhood just seems to pass so swiftly, in an absolute haze sometimes. I absolutely loved being a stay at home mum who cried on her children’s first day at school, I just loved their company when they were little and always hated it when holidays ended and they had to go back to school. I know this is not the norm nowadays and poor mums are expected to have a job and wear themselves ragged trying to juggle work and looking after children. I also had very good friends and we would meet regularly and that was a lifeline for me. You are right, children are a oh so precious gift and we are so blessed to have them x
