I suffer from anxiety and OCD. I like things to be clean so I pick up and clean often. Lately I out things away so I don't loose them and then turns out I can't remember where I put this thing. It gives me so much anxiety while I am searching my whole house.

hi having anxiety does make us forgetful more so when suffering brain overload.get yourself in a relaxed state of mind even jot down exact places you`ve put items that you need for that day or even the next.
😂 welcome to my world and anxiety isn't my diagnosis. Get some trackers. They wouldn't be so popular if nobody misplaced things! I got them in my wallet, keys, luggage. Only thing I wish they would come up with is one small enough for your glasses. That said I got a cute eyeglass stand and put it next to my keys. No friction of opening cases... just put it on the stand. Friction, btw, is the biggest challenge with developing most habits.
I am living on my own near retiring, vulnerably disabled, and my house looks like a tip, always feel very self conscious when somebody visits, although finding something that I had forgotten about, when I do a rudimentary clean after they have left, is even worse, something that has been 'missing' for months, really bad!🥴🥴
