Coming off Gabapentin

Hi, has anyone tried to come off Gabapentin before?

Hello

I take it but not for anxiety but for pain

I feel it is addictive though even though I do not abuse it

I am hoping eventually I will be able to come of it but when I do I will ask my Doctor how to because I have a feeling it will be better to taper of it rather than just stop it you possibly may feel a bit rough if you did

I was on 600mg, 3 times a day for several years and decided to come off it. I took it very slow and gradual and didn't have any problems.

Hi, I’ve been taking it for about 5 years, just 400mg at night time. I’m going to try 300mg for a week, then 200mg for a week and so on. I was given a script a few months ago that said take 200mg a night and I thought that the doctor wanted me to come off them.. I took the 200mg for about two weeks then had terrible suicide like thoughts.. I suspect that my brain chemicals were mixed up.. I’m hoping that coming off gradually will work?
