I want to beat anxiety and get rid of panic attacks !

Hey guys, I’m a new user, I’ve been looking for a support group for a few months now and im extremely happy that i found you all. Ive been suffering from anxiety for over a year now, but my panic attacks hadn’t appeared until recently. It was two months ago and ever since ive been having a lot of attacks. I feel chocked and suffocated, i start sweating and my heart palpitates so fast that i actually feel that i wont make it. I need someone to tell me is this normal ? And how can i get rid of these panic attacks because im extremely exhausted .

Welcome Itskay to a safe support site.Once anxiety takes hold, if the issue (root) of the cause is not addressed,

the fear will continue to grow causing Panic Attacks.

What you are experiencing is very normal for the overwhelmed person with issues

referring to loss of control of their life. We want to run away from our problems but

to where? No matter where we turn, there is fear. Fear of what? Sometimes we don't

even know anymore since we are afraid of everything.

And as long as those thoughts and feelings persist, high levels of adrenaline circulate

throughout our body causing these outbreaks of Panic Attacks.

Is there a way out or is this a lifetime sentence? By all means, there are many ways

and answers to understanding and accepting this disorder. There is book as well

as videos on YouTube called "Hope & Help for Your Nerves" by Dr Claire Weekes.

In plain layman's words, she explains how anxiety comes about, where anxiety can go

when we fear it or fight it and last but not least, how we can rid ourselves of this

disorder by pure Acceptance. Acceptance that anxiety is not harmful. Uncomfortable

and frightening, yes. But not a catastrophic issue.

Through her words you will find the key to success by not staying in the "fight or flight"

response. I'm happy that you are here with us. We all care. :) xx

Hi, I’m glad you found this site it really helps if you are feeling anxious and or having panic attacks. It’s a very scary lonley feeling. There are so many people that suffer from this. It can really take ahold of you. I myself suffer from the same. I wake up at night and will get anxiety feeling sweaty worried something is wrong with me. Usually I get up and like now I go to this site. Just reading others stories helps because you know you are not alone. Hang in there try not to let anxiety and panic take ahold of you. Try calming music going for a walk can be very helpful too.
