Flu from hell

Got the worst flu I’ve ever experienced. I’ve had covid twice and this by far feels worse than both times put together. Been to hospital twice due to excruciating pain when breathing in down my back and ribs which is inflamed from sneezing/coughing. Throat feeling tight, glands swollen and when I say the worse ever sinus infection ever. My nose is so blocked it’s making my face/jaw/eyes just ache. I’ve slept for maybe 6 hours in the past 3 days. Doctors said my chest sounds clear and it appears my body is fighting the infection well and have been prescribed a steroid nasal spray which I’ll receive tomorrow. Does anyone have experience with these steroid nasal sprays? I can’t smell or taste a thing right now, will these help? It’s driving me insane 🤯🤯🤯

Ps: has a PCR covid test which came back negative.

Hi it’s Shnookie from Los Angeles. I have used a prescription nasal spray called Flupnase for my swollen sinuses and headaches for many years. It is easy to use. They contain steroids which reduce swelling greatly. This should aid you with your stuffed nose and allow U to smell. So sorry U R going thru this. I’m here 4 U.

Hi Shnookie. Ive never used it cause I don’t have the need for nasal sprays. I over used Afrin (?) back in the seventies for a cold and I couldn’t breathe for two weeks after wards. That was my fault. I had damaged the inside of my nasal cavity. I hope your migraine subsides soon. I’m good. It feels like Sunday for some reason. 😊

Thank U for your good wishes. Fortunately I’m between jobs, so I was able to lay on the couch and rest all day. I’m feeling better. Enjoy 😉 the rest of your day hugs 🤗 S

I had a migraine today and would have loved some chicken soup 🍲. I have eaten all kinds of chicken soup and they have always made me feel better. Enjoy the rest of your day hugs 🤗 Shnookie

So glad you don't have Covid again. Rest, drink plenty of fluids. I have bad sinuses and when I get an infection I do a saline nasal flush. Neil Med is the kit I bought which gives you a special plastic bottle with an opening and 50+ packets of powdered saline which you mix with distilled or demineralized water to flush your nose. Kills germs and I find it very helpful. Worth a try. Good luck. Hope you feel better soon.
