I don’t know if the drops are dosed differently than the pills but a lot of people on the pills take 10 mg or 20 mg. So I think starting at 1 mg should be pretty safe. I hope you do become comfortable and that they work for you.
I had no idea there were drops!! I have same message anxiety my dr never said that was avail. Good luck, low and slow😇
Thank you. I didnt either until someone on another site mentioned it. Iv just had my first 1mg and now panicing thinking im gonna have a reaction! Every twinge and feeling is freaking me out. Are you on escitalopram? Xx
The Dr. gave me the pills also, I was too scared to try them. I have white coat syndrome about everything...even going to doctors.
People have given you good advice who take this. I don’t take it I take klonopin and a beta blocker for my anxiety. I would like to share what helps me. 45 minutes of daily cardio exercise to produce endorphins that battle your anxiety. Can be a walk or hike . You tube has aerobics or jogging or walking in place. Wim Hof has deep breathing exercises that help a lot . And cold shower daily therapy. I also use resistance bands weight training. You tube has the Wim Hof breathing exercises and cold water therapy. As long as the water is below 68 degrees it’s good. People take 5 minutes pure cold showers.
Hi Ali! I too have never taken the drops, but was on the tablets- 20mg for a span of about 5 years. I too had my reservations about taking anything at all- but….keep in mind that if this one doesn’t work for you, there are so many others that you can try. And when they do work you will feel so much better and wonder why you didn’t start on something so much sooner. I had very good luck with it. The only noticeable adverse side effect was some excessive sweating while I slept. No nausea or weight gain. I did have to switch recently because it just wasn’t working for me anymore. My advice would be to try and embrace the outcome of feeling better. As we all know on this forum, we project and predict the very worst outcomes and in reality it was our minds telling us lies. I do hope you find some relief and wish you the very best.
Hi I have started 5mg recently, similar to you was hesitant too. Last night was my first night on them and yes I had excessive sweating and tingles like I was about to have a panic attack but managed to calm myself down and breathe. How long should I give it until it kicks in.. I want to beeat anxiety so badly.
How are you getting on? I started my 5mg tablets yesterday... I had a rough night sleep but day 2 today...
Give it a few more nights- it may feel like you’re not sleeping well at first, but that will get better. I had some tingles and a light feeling in my head for about a week…but then, just “better”. Remember to also learn your triggers and develop coping mechanisms before you start spiraling. Stress management, some type of physical activity, and just be kind to yourself.
Hi Ali! Just checking on you to see how you’re doing on the meds. I hope very well!
