Pete and I have gone to spend a month together in our beautiful Welsh cottage. He is so in need of rest and recuperation as he has been working far too hard on our house in the South East of England, particularly as he has now reached 70. When he is very tired or in pain physically or emotionally I tend to take the brunt. I am hoping this time together in Wales will help to heal our relationship difficulties.
We walked around a beautiful lake yesterday then took a beach walk at sunset. The stunning almost unreal seascape in particular helped me to feel the tension begin to float away and he felt the same.
The time together is giving the opportunity for more open, honest communication and that seems to be helping too.
Interesting skyscapes and sunsets appear to have something very healing about them for me. I will have to remind myself to go and seek them out whenever I can. In the busyness or just the mundane preoccupations of ordinary life, it is easy to forget to do so.
My thoughts and good wishes to everyone suffering mental health problems or relationship difficulties as we all do from time to time.

I love tne seascapes as well. My husband and I used to go every evening. A combination of poorer weather and tiredness means we go less often now. Think l will take my dog to the beach soon now. Your post got me in the mood.
