People in Afghanistan

I've been feeling really depressed and sad for the past few weeks, with everything that's happening in my country it's really difficult to find a reason to live everyday. Covid is still pretty bad, there are no vaccines and there's also the protests in Khuzestan, Iran,( google it if you want to know more). And then Taliban has got full control of Afghanistan. When I read the news I didn't know what to do and I've been feeling more anxious since. They are our neighbors and we're not doing anything for them to be honest. Many afghans have been seeking safety in Iran and the apparently the borders are open towards them. But after all Middle east is like a wounded animal and nobody helps it get better. No country has been helping people in Afghanistan which means they're actually supporting Taliban. More than anything I'm really scared and worried about the women and girls in Afghanistan, if Taliban remains in power, sooner or later women won't be able to get education , they won't be able to work and they'll be treated as objects. There's footage of people clinging to the US airplanes just to get out of that place just to not be there and when I saw that video I couldn't believe that it's the year 2021. This is not right. Honestly at this point I can't expect any government to help middle eastern people. But I can expect myself and other Iranians and people from other countries to read more about The Middle east and to talk about it to other people and let others know what's happening. I know this is not Instagram and I can't just come here and ramble about politics and The Middle East but if I can make even a small number of people to think and read about the things I mentioned I'll feel a tiny bit better.

Thank you very much. Just to be clear I don't live in Afghanistan and I can't even imagine what they're going through. Just trying to spread some information.

I am so sorry that this hits so close to home to you.

I just can’t imagine how terrified you have to be of the Taliban to cling to the outside of air craft taking off. This makes my problems seem so very small. I am sure entire families are being murdered just because one person allegedly did something helpful to the cause of freedom.

I very rarely comment on a post as I made a decision to make real friends as opposed to virtual friends but this site can be of help for those who are lonely and suffer from mental health issues .However , I am a Muslim and having acceptance and respect for each other’s beliefs or religion should be the basis of using this site .

We are supposedly here to support one another and members should not degrade our religious beliefs on account of its ill placed application given the political agendas at way .

Sadly our religion is manipulated as tool to gain power and seize power this is prima facie not what our religion teaches us .
