Is melatonin any good for insomnia
Yes, a lot of people find relief from insomnia with melatonin. Here you can get it at any pharmacy, grocery store, or Amazon.
I am in the UK so this information is only relevant really to people in England. I know that it is very different in places like Canada and America (I was amazed at what drugs I could buy over the counter in Canada when I was there on holiday).
I was prescribed Melatonin by my Psychiatrist to aid sleep and I found it very effective. However I could only get it on private prescription as my GP wouldn't prescribe it for me on the NHS. Prices differed between Pharmacies (even between branches of the same pharmacy). I would always be wary about buying medications on line. Sleep aid medications containing Promethazine are readily available from pharmacists.
You can buy melatonin online / ebay but GABA is better - also available to buy online / ebay

I've had some good experiences with Melatonin. I do have some bizarre dreams however..Not disturbing but bizarre and even funny at times. It don't experience any other side effects like that " hang over " effect from " pharmaceuticals"...
I'm only speaking from my experiences.
Here in the states you don't need a prescription. It's widely available. Look for the least amount of " binders " and extra additions
I've seen great help from Melatonin, I like that it's a relatively simple thing you can get over the counter
I hope it helps you!
Yes, I take it with Ashwagandha, Magnesium Glycinate, and Phosphatidylserine every night before bed. I live in the States and they are all readily available at health food stores. For me, the most important thing that helps me sleep is no caffeine.
