This may be a silly question since I'm sure it's just anxiety and anxiety can cause ALL kinds of weird things... but- Has anyone experienced a tight feeling in their forehead, almost like weight or pressure?
I started noticing this a little over a year ago, usually when I was feeling on edge. I'm sure it's just anxiety and I have found a little evidence of this reading online but I'm inundated with results for tension-type headaches when I search. I'm not talking about a headache, it doesn't hurt, rather I feel like the skin on my forehead has been pulled tight.
It comes and goes (usually with anxiety) but it creeps me out. I'm probably over-thinking this but I'm curious to know if anyone else deals with or has dealt with something similar?
Thanks!

Hi It’s. Ive had headaches since I’ve been 9. and this has caused pains in certain parts of head with the pain causing a extremely pain
in the back left side feeling like there is a clamp on it. The pains that U describe sound like anxiety and stress pains. Try meditation, positive visualization, drink water and listen two positive music
I'm sorry to hear that, I'm all too familiar with headaches or tension-type headaches although what I was talking about isn't pain so much as a feeling like my skin on my forehead has been pulled tight
I get this too! I'm so glad I'm not alone. I describe it as 'a headache without the ache'. It flares when my anxiety or ocd flare. Thanks so much for sharing.
I think it might be brain cancer? Or maybe it might be Lou Gehrig's disease? Could be MS or ALS? Of course I don't mean that but that's how the anxiety riddle brain thinks. Go to YouTube and check out Trey Jones videos on anxiety and head pressure. Also some great books on getting rid of anxiety if you're interested.
I don't think its a tumor or ALS or I would have been buried a long time ago. 50 yrs ago I was in a bad accident & have had a headache ever since. The nurse said so you suffer from headaches? No. Not plural. Its the same damn headache for 50 yrs. CAT scans, MRIs, x-rays whatever. No tumor. No ALS. No MS. No nothing. Read up on migraines & see if anything clicks with you. And absolutely tell your doc.
feel like you're wearing a hat that is too small? I don't know for you but for me it was the migraines again. Advil is all that helps me. that & chocolate which btw has been proven effective against migraines if you take it at first sign. If you wait til its full blown chocolate won't help. But frankly chocolate never hurts. Warm compress always helps. It gets the facial muscles to relax easing some of the tension. When they get a cure for migraines let me know. I'll be the first in line. feel better.
