Convinced I’m dying

I’ve been to the ER 2x last weekend. Then, saw a gynecologist. I’ve been diagnosed with gastroenteritis, PID, and a possible ruptured cyst.

I have had constant abdominal pain since 6/4/21. I have episodic severe left abdominal pain. I feel like something is very wrong. Apparently, I’m not dying per the: CT scan, Pelvic ultrasound, and Transvaginal ultrasound.

I have been prescribed nausea meds (which no longer help), pain meds, 2 antibiotics for the infection, and birth control. I previously take a antidepressant and anxiety med.

I have extreme nausea and no appetite. I have lost a lot of weight and I was already underweight so that’s not great news. 🎉

There’s more to the story. Right now, I am praying for hope. “Wait for the LORD. Be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.” Psalm 14:27

So other than gastritis, pid and a ruptured cyst there is nothing sinister going on. After the antibiotics things should get better.

Yes, that’s what we’re hoping for! I’m on a bland liquid diet and I had been investigating possible food intolerances beforehand.

1 week down. I hope I heal fast.

I had a smile 😊 on my face, When I read part of your text saying May God bless you and keep you. My grandma Dora a Holocaust survivor used this expression many times

What a beautiful memory U have of your mother. Yes it can be hard at times being a child of a survivor. But I was lucky that my grandparents survivedas well. We can view this in a positive way in that we can gain strength from the fact that our relatives survived hell and came out the other side. I do believe however that many of the survivors had PTSD and this indeed impact their children in a say the least negative mental health way.

Omg that's awful and I couldn't imagine what that must have been like for her. I have watched a few programmes with survivors of the holocaust and it's horrifying what they went through. Nothing like that must ever happen again. It brings me to tears every time.

It’s Shnookie. As a child and relative of survivors, this is what I always prayed 4But then again, unfortunately among other events there was Pol Pot the

Camboan leader under his rule, there was a genocide of a million Cambodians known as the Killing Fields. I am touched by your empathy.

And it is also important to remember that though Jews were the primary targets targets, among other groups singled out were the LGBTQ who were forced to wear a pink triangle on the sleeves.

Yes also gypsies and those with a disability were targets too. I have heard horror stories where they were 'experimented' on and many died. Or were left sterile.

I also think it was horrible how the survivors were left to fend for themselves afterwards and many were homeless and rootless. They lost everything. I admire those who were able to start new lives and am so glad many did.

There are far too many atrocities in the world and the Pol Pot one was another. Also the 'purges' in Russia, China, and other places. Untold millions have been barbarously slaughtered without mercy. It's a very cruel world sometimes.

My father and his his family came to the U.S. penniless and rebuilt their lives.

Yes, it is and it helps a little to put our problems in perspective. Unfortunately, being aware of the terrible conditions under which many live and have lived, doesn't remove our anxiety, fears and bad feelings. I guess people are primarily aware of their own problems and the plight of people far away, while making us feel sorry, does not immediately impact our own emotions. xx❤️

This is Shnookie. U R correct. We have all of our own issues to deal with. I fortunately separated the issue that tho my own family had gone thru a horror, this did not negate the issues and feelings that were going on with my life. There R others I knew who would not complain or relate their problems to their parents.

I hope you find something soon that provides you with comfort. Pain is terrible when it won't let up. Send lots of love and well wishes.

Thank you 💕 I think today I’m going to try to write down a few peaceful memories from my life to remember. I’m not used to being stuck in bed and in pain.

I remember seeing my granny Dora a survivor when she lit the Sabbath candles. She would sob uncontrollably every time she did this. She had terrible

survivor’s guilt and would call out to her dead parents in Yiddish that she was so sorry that she could not save them during WW II.
