Hello my name is kaitlyn and I have a disability called 22q deletion syndrome and people would make fun of my hearing and how I talk and I use to be bullied in high school. And I have been through a lot in all of these years. I have depression and anxiety disorder. I don’t really have a lot of friends I have some close ones. I struggle with making new friends. I’m a shy person. My anxiety is getting worse and worse. I have bad acne and I pick at my legs. I sometimes feel like Everyone hates me and dislike me. I do have a couple of in home therapist. They help me out a lot. I have a hard time letting go of the past can anyone help me with that? I had mean people coming at me in the past and I feel hurt by them I was cheated and lie to and used. I would love to make friends in this support group ❤️ I’ve been through hell and back but I’m a stronger person now.

Kaitlyn, your soo courageous. Look at all you wrote and said!! I had heard of DiGeorge Syndrome but not all of the pieces 22q needs to inform us of. I found this great video at youtube.com/watch?v=Ielhrlr... that helps us best understand and give you some resilience as you continue to move forward. As far as your acne on your legs.. I would suggest this link and take a look to see what you have first. It could be other things.

Awww so glad your responding and know no matter if you follow someone or not... your never alone here.. Just take a chance, post something and there will be someone else feeling or thinking a lot of what you do.. So continue to be courageous and especially be yourself!! Be the best you... you already are!!!

Love ur story. We all help each other and sometimes we see answers through others. Read some of the help stuff this group has. I'm one I need to understand things. I've learned so much through this group to help me understand stand things. I love the Lord, have faith in the Lord. Meditation, christian music praising God. Those are my coping. Far from being perfect, just the opposite side. Not pushing on to anyone. I pray for all you guys. Glad to meet you.

Sometimes, it feels like the world is on our shoulders. It feels like everyone may hate us because of the cruelty upon us. Thankfully, this is not true. The world doesn’t hate you.

Face: stop picking at your face and legs. You can learn how to wash face and do the cleaning and steam and lotion face. Take care of face and legs instead of the other way. I didn’t notice acne on this picture. You are a young lady. Enjoy youth pls. We don’t get younger.

Letting go: I guess staying in the moment would be great for this. Mindfulness compassion guided meditation. You can find many free resources. No need to pay for these things.

Many people write in a journal. Reflect on the past only for a set time per day. And do some forgiveness exercises. Forgive yourself. And forgive the ones that harmed you. Then, set them all free. Take the journal when, you feel that pain and R.I.P. up those pages. Watch yourself let go of this past memories. Finally, start building new positive healthy relationships. Start this new journey with healthy people that are healthy and can be trusted. Remember people are not perfect.

Strength: that is something you can be grateful for. These experiences made you strong.
