bring back the best of the old days

years ago men were trained to have manners especially towards women..which demonstrated respect.

Today..they have destroyed our society .

we need to ignore them and bring it back

when i lived in Britain, this was never so aparent and the people respected those who had good manners and watch with quiet approval or horror at americans in their country

it taught me a very very good lessson as in Britain

Manner were still respected and expected

a very good take home lesson for me

im very old fashioned and very conservative in that area

i think Britain was a right

i think othere thing have gone too far....and we should go back to certain fundamenatals including manners, forget 99 percent of this junk they teachin in so called school which they will never use.

I agree Brig. Society seems broken. No manners and respect for eachother. People seem more self absorbed these days.

today - the women in vet school were very angry if we offered to help cover them in any way with animals they clearly had no experience with and up north in america- u insult most women if u offer courtesy.....down south its very different and manners are still taught like britain.......no gender war there at all and all the men are expected to treat the women correctly and with courtesy...in all stores and places i ever visted......the women were kind and polite and not automatic men haters....its a liberal or nothren or city thing......rural people still are expected to be polite to women and treat them correctly.

nothing nicer.....and a big lift when a woman lets u open the door or let her in line first........it makes a man feel like real man.....and ackknowledges her......as it should be......

but....that the point.......u always.....look at her expression...the ones that let u......makes her feel like a real woman or lady.........and that is what make it sooo special ...to acknowledge the women in our lives..........neibhors, etc.....still ....one of the nicest ways non verbally of saying..............thank u...

i find it ironic that the people who preach at us - to be tolerant and never hurtful and no sarcasma nd listening and not prejduging....(the mhs).....do exactly what they tell us not to.........prejduge, dump on us, betray us on and aon and on......because they are doctors or nurses............taht makes it ok ...
