Bad dream anxiety

Has any elderly person got a dream telling you will not live long and die young?

I happen to be a 50 year old woman. Listen, all it was is a bad dream you had. It doesn't mean you're going to die young or that you had some kind of premonition or something like that. Do you tend to watch or read scary or mysterious stories or movies??? Keep in mind most of them are fiction, not fact!!!! Don't let your mind play tricks on you.

I've had some creepy dreams and nightmares, a lot of people have. Sometimes a traumatic event can trigger a bad dream.

Such dreams are of no consequence and are easily explained.

Anxiety disorder exaggerates small concerns out of all proportion in our minds. So the concern not to die early can become an obsession that we are indeed going to die young.

This mistaken belief can be most prominent in our thoughts when we are asleep and our guard is down.

This I suggest is the reason you have had these disturbing dreams. The fact that we are having this exchange of posts on an anxiety forum rather indicates that anxiety is the cause of your bad dreams.

Just accept the dreams for the time being without giving them the attention they don't deserve. They will soon disperse.

No, I haven't had any dreams that I am going to die young. But then I'm 78 🤗!
