Just found out in a round about sort of way that I will be coming to work tomorrow not next Thursday. Our Fearless Leader (FL) is a micro manager. We've been trying for years to get her to delegate some thing, any thing. While she has given over some things to others, most of it she does herself. Scheduling is, um, shall we say, interesting at best. As you may know I was supposed to go back last week but FL saw a snowflake & cancelled work. Yes we did get a bit of snow but the ground is too warm nothing sticks to it. Besides, we all live here. Snow does not bother us. We are used to it. We can drive in a white out. White out is when it is snowing so hard you can't see the end of your car's nose. I usually just wait for someone else to come along & follow them. If their red lights go off at a crazy angle I pull over check them & wait for the next escort.
Anyway I digress. Tomorrow at 9 am I'm getting picked up for work. Wow! That came out of nowhere. I'll have to make myself a sandwich as the office cafeteria is not yet open. Must remember to bring a bottle of ice tea. Because I've been out of work for over a year I have to do the training program again. That includes the unit on sexual harassment. Good thing. Social distancing has made me forget all my off color jokes & innuendos. Now they have a program that will remind me who to insult & just how to do it.
I think I'll wear my new t shirt. Its black & says Go Ahead. Underestimate me. This should be fun. What do you think? Too soon?
