Has anyone else benefited from group sessions for ptsd, anxiety?
Group therapy : Has anyone else... - Anxiety and Depre...
Group therapy
I was in group therapy years ago for depression/anxiety. It was one of the best years I spent in my life. I had one on one therapy, my therapist asked me to go into group, I was nervous and quiet the first few times, then I got into it...Wow!!! It helped change my life for the better. I say go for it. I send you courage, strength, love and Big hugs.......
Thank you so much for the encouraging words, I've been told to go for the medical marijuana card for my ptsd and anxiety idk if anyone has any experience with that I am nervous about group I feel like I'm watching the clock until it's time to go horrible anxiety for 2 days made me.super dizzy and then I slept for hours and hours woke up and it's like i never slept, can't eat can barely handle fluids right now its awful
I have done a lot of group therapy and although it's difficult at the beginning it can be very powerful if properly conducted, so that the energy is kept positive and uplifting. I would really recommend it. And I know you didn't ask but I would also really recommend against marijuana, especially if you suffer anxiety. Marijuana is what started lifelong anxiety for a lot of us sufferers.
I did enjoy the group session and I plan on going again next week, idk where I stand as far as the thc stuff, I know I stopped lorazepam because it didn't work when I was having my worst symptoms and the drs in the hospital saw that it didn't work when I was in there even a larger dose wasn't stopping the cycle
Can I ask you what is the cause of your ptsd/anxiety?? I attended a great program that helped with my PTSD/Anxiety....it is called the battle within. it is designed for veterans and 1st responders and it helped tremendously
