Been diagnosed with pelvic inflammatory disease

Hi everyone I’ve had a scan done and a transvaginal scan with showed fluid and been diagnosed with pid, had sti swabs came back clear got to go doctors Monday for urine tests but shouldn’t I off been given antibiotics to treat the infection been reading online about abscess and with me having fluid I now think I’ve got one my minds doing overtime the doctor didn’t mention am abscess tho she just said it’s not serious don’t worry over weekend cause I no what your like and did mention about seeing a gynaecologist, why all this if they no what I have? Has anyone been in a similar situation would really help my anxiety

Hey, my situation sounds similar. Had a scan which showed fluid. GP gave me a two week course of antibiotics and referred to Gynecology. This was in July 2020, got my first gyne appt next month 😅
