I go through cycles of insomnia. I average at most 3 to 4 hours a night for a few months. Then I can sleep a little better for a week or so but then the cycle repeats. It's been this way for so long but it's starting to drive me a little mad. Most nights my thoughts are so endless and repetitive that I end up crying in frustration. I literally fantasize about sleeping for a year straight and waking up finally feeling rested and ready for life. Does anyone else experience this?

Yes I feel as though I cannot shut down completely and I believe that’s why my anxiety rare it’s ugly head. I finally spoke to my healthcare provider to ask for some sleep medication. I need to shut down. I haven’t got a chance to pick up the prescription yet and I’m a little nervous about taking it but I have to try something. I was told it was non-habit-forming. I’m tired of being tired. I always say especially in this cold weather that I want to go hibernate. That’s been going on for more than a year for me.I asked my husband once a twice a few times to help me by going to bed with me but of course he did nothing to support me in my effort I’m falling asleep peacefully. That’s another reason he is soon to be ex!
Omg thank you so much for responding. It's so much better to know that someone else is feeling the way I do. The way you describe it is exactly the what I go through. Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one left awake in the world. I'm here for you. Message me personally if you want and maybe we can help each other through it.
