Hello Forum.

I just had a general question.

Does anyone feel that all triggers can be faced and controlled.

I do believe this is true but I will also add that some are very difficult to face. Sometimes coping with it is enough. Which means that it still triggers you but you can manage it so it doesn't make you completely shut down.

I understand your point. Thank you.

I think there are definitely some triggers that people need help to overcome. Sometimes it takes a therapist or someone with an outside perspective to be able to help navigate.

The first thing is to recognize what your triggers are. That is no small feat. If you don’t know what they are you can’t work on desensitizing yourself to them. That seems obvious but for many of us it is not .

Many people have no idea what theirs are. It’s great that you do.
