the day has started decent enough returning to the camp at the sumit...a little trickle of snow flakes as he broke through of the tree line on the slow trek to the top.......four hours later stupidly not turning back he was a in a complete white out,....pounded by gale force winds smashing time and time again down against the sheer ice that slid him back down the slope driven by howling winds.........clothes frozone solid ......
to the right some dozen yards was a total drop off to who konws where........in the raging winds snow and white out the only way of determining diredtion was dead recongning.........ilteerally crawing hour on hours face bureidn into the ice claw his way up the frozen slope..........straight and bear to the left aroudnthe upward slope aroudn teh moutain.............time and time atain the fury of thewind smashed him and smashed him again and again to the ground...........for a time he just hung on......he was getting sooo tired...............at some point no progress and all to easy to just.......relax surrrender to his fate and go to sleep..........there just was no progress inch by inch blown back two feet...........
