please focus on something you like. maybe listen to a favourite album, talk to a family member, write a journal. do something that can keep you busy. remember that you are worthy and that someday it will be better, it has to

I would but you're the only decent person I've spoken to today. As you said in your post, people just don't believe you.

i feel the same so i talk to people online. its not the best but it helps!

I agree! Reluctantly, but unfortunately I have to agree.

Hang in there friend, you are stronger than you know. Take things one day at a time. Start by getting a small routine in. It's not going to work overnight but overtime it will help. Also, make sure to be kind to yourself and learn self compassion. This will aid tremendously as well. If you do not have one already I would also highly recommend a therapist.

Join the club as they say. So many hard nosed people around . Even the ones you expect can let you down. Amazing where you do find the support you need. Just been through two hospital stays . Even the tea lady was able to offer support. Nurses on other hand too busy...I respect the hardwork of the staff, but stopping just for a moment can make all the difference in a persons rehabilitation.

Just to listen to someone elses bad trip.

A problem shared is a problem halved.

Keep it real . Dont give up, you have the strength and faith within you.

Give it more time to come out. No pain no gain.

I just don't get it! If someone had a broken leg people would be all over them with offers of help! Because someone's head appears to be inside out, noboby gives it a second thought. Life is so shit sometimes but at least we have a listening community on here.

My daughter suffers from depression, I would love to help but she will not speak to me. Even with this pandemic I do not know how she or her family are. I hope you have friends to help, or a club lo church. I myself talk on the phone to people who are lonely and depressed. During the week I try to contact these people, I hope I am helping them to have a break from their worries. All I can say is I am trying in my own small way.

FIRST...SENDING YOU WARMTH AND A BIG HUG.

NEXT ... RIGHT NOW WHEREVER YOU ARE, STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR THE NEXT 5 MINUTES

THIRD...SET FIVE MINUTES ON YOUR ALARM

FOURTH...SIT STRAIGHT, CLOSE EYES, TAKE A DEEP BREATH COUNTING TILL 4 SLOWLY,.. PAUSE FOR 2 COUNTS, LET OUT VERY SLOWLY FOR 6 COUNTS.

FIVE...REPEAT TILL TIMER GOES OFF AT END OF 5 MINUTES

SIX...KEEP YOUR EYES CLOSED AND LIE DOWN ON YOUR BACK WITH YOUR LEGS STRETCHED OUT AND HANDS STRETCHED OUT WITH PALMS FACING UPWARDS AS LONG AS YOU CAN...ITS FINE IF YOU GO OFF TO SLEEP EVEN.

FINALLY...ROLL ON TO YOUR RIGHT SIDE, KEEPING YOUR EYES CLOSED GET UP SLOWLY, AND SIT ERECT...PLACE WARM PALMS ON EYELIDS AND GENTLY CUP.

SLOWLY OPEN EYES AND GET UP AND HAVE A DRINK OF WARM WATER.

PS-- TRY TO EAT AND DRINK ONLY WARM STUFF--COLD STUFF ANYTHING MAKES ANXIETY WORSE.

LET ME KNOW IF IT HELPS

Aside from your personal triggers, the world is an especially crazy place right now and any number of events in your world or the larger one can cause us great anxiety and sink us into deep depression .

There is a very strong meditation that I like. It is entitled " Be the Mountain" and it is part of a psychology today online article. You can easily google it. If you sit in a comfortable chair, use headphones and let it just take you over, it might transport you for a short while and reset your state of mind.

I hope you find some light in your darkness and that this helps. We all care about you but that is not always enough. You also need to summon some love for yourself! You ARE worth it.

Calm, centered, grounded, in tune and a part of all that there is.

Hi there, so sorry to hear that. Treat yourself how you might a good friend. Kindness and compassion and as much comfort as you can muster. My therapist helped me identify a happy and safe place for when I felt really bad. It worked for me. She encouraged me to make it an active choice. So I would tidy the room I wanted to be in, get my favourite blanked, put on clean snuggly clothes, make my favourite food and watch a film or read a book. It did not always result in me jumping for joy but gave me respite from my negative thoughts. Take care.

Sometimes the seasons of our life are like a cold, dark and dreary winter. We wonder if spring and summer will arrive. It took a couple of years of winter before my life got better. I never thought it would get better. I still have difficult days, but am enjoying life. You might want to write down each day 5 things you are thankful for as a way of feeling better.
