Good question 😄 talking to my mom hanging out with my brother 😄
U know now I can see u if u were to pass by. They say u can know a person thru the kind of music they play. Snoopy dog was nice. I play a lot of music as well but I play only old school from the 50' and 60's. I sleep with earphones on, I wake up and exercise with gym beats then immediately go to my 60' till late. I clean with them, cook wit em, In fact I do everything with em. They keep me alive
Saw this ad on UK TV and after a while I realised it was the best thing on TV Just something about Snoop Dog
U must really like snoopy
Only come across him thru the ad in UK although I had heard of him , he got paid 5 million £ for the ad and is now working on Corona beer ad for £10 million , yes we love that ad in UK
Iv known abt him since school days but didn't know much about him. He must be a busy guy then
When music is like oxygen.....❤️
What's getting me through lock down..?To begin, I'm a bit of a recluse to begin with. I live high up (5542 ft./1658 meters elev.) in a small box canyon on the side of a mountain. At the end of a road . In a small community.
I have come to be more connected with that community. We loo after one another so there's that.
I build scale models, do a bit of light hiking, a bit of "gardening" lot of reading and watching YouTube and Netflix. I venture off "The Hill" about once a month for necessities. I have my faithful dog as a constant companion. I "visit" on line with friends not so near and some very far away.
I've been doing this for about a year and recently tested negative for COVID... So far so good.
just thinking of you in your mountainside cabin with your dog how lovely
It sounds awesome where you live. I grew up in a place like that and pets are a huge pick me up. I also live in a place where we look after each other and it really does help. My neighbors know I cannot do the face to face thing and we still smile wave or talk and still follow the rules. It is nice to see that people are taking care of each other...keep it up I know it helps on both ends!
Thanks for the nice reply and encouragement. We are a tight community. More like an extended family. Parents, kids and dogs all pulling together. It was like that before the pandemic and has become more solid as result. Blessed.
Thank you! I hope you're doing well. 🙏☮️
Thanks well tbh I would gladly swap places with you right now , for a week or so at least , is it covered in snow where you are ?
Awwwe, thanks. No snow today. It's been here and gone several times since November. We had a bit of a dusting day before yesterday. I had to borrow a neighbors 4 wheel drive tractor on Groundhog Day to plow my road as the snow from the last bit was still blocking my way out. I don't have a 4 wheel drie vehicle so can't leave even when there's even a dusting of snow.😀
I am getting through by working inside my home and outside. Yard work has been a huge help to me...there is nothing like the dirt in my hands and then watching things grow. I only wear gloves when there are "prickleys". Of course being winter has slowed down outside work. We have had a very light winter here. But when there is snow I take my shovel and do as many sidewalks and driveways as I can. We have great neighbors and this is a way I can help and not break rules. I also walk a lot and I always smile and wave when I see others out walking they cannot see the smile which is why I wave. Most people I see are glad to see and I do not break social distancing rules. Here we are not in mandatory lock down but I am because I am "high" risk so I have not been too far from my home for almost a year. I hope you are doing okay because I know how lonely it can be...there are those of us that worry about "lockdown" because it can do a number on people...thinking of you and hoping you are okay!
Hi judima yes keeping busy is key for me too, they say when your hands are occupied your mind is resting and this got me thinking that knitting and crocheting are great therapy for people with anxiety and deppression , all the women in my family knitted but I was more interested in disco dancing lol so never learnt how to knit and I think it is fading in popularity but deserves a revival bc it is productive too , you can make all sorts of fabulous items I also walk everyday it's the best exercise, I think getting physically tired is good for mental health , glad you are doing well on the whole during lockdown, there has to be a few advantages to lockdown we just don't hear about them
