What OCD makes you belief is false.

Remember that. OCD Plays with it and we get fooled.

Don't believe OCD. Do opposite what it asks you to do. You might have anxiety but you will get out of it.

I like what you are saying because controlling one's thought is a skill that must be mastered. It is hard at first but as time goes by, it manageable. To be honest I have enxiety but I don't know about OCD. Can u ask you, is it the same thing or closely related?

Yes, sure you can ask me. Elaborate a bit what kind of thoughts you are having.

For eg, depression tends to make one think of suicide sometimes in spite of what is happening. I have never harmed my body or anything like that, I guesse I try to suppress any negetive thought that tries to creep in. Previously I was having problems an obviously those thoughts creeped up bcz I did not see hope but now it is not the same. In fact I know my depression came from that time of my life, it was a very dark time but sometimes these suicidal thoughts would just creep in even now but I have managed to suppress those negetive thoughts. My question is, with OCD, is it also like that? I have never spoken to a person like who suffers from OCD. If you also have knowledge about PTSD. I very much would like to have a conversation with someone who has suffered from it. I guesse I heard that about 99% of military guys suffer from it and I just want to know what triggers it. Why are they the leading group with PTSD? Please, if you do know about PTSD as well, I love information

Obsesive compulsive disorder means having distressing thoughts that one is not able to get rid of even if they want to this thought is called obsession so it makes us start indulging in certain behaviours routinely that help us to manage the distress caused by that thought this behaviour is called a compulsion.Example like if I am having thoughts regarding any of my loved ones which causes anxiety and to suppress this anxiety I used to do what my OCD makes me do for example if it ask me to close the tap for 4 to 5 times I'll do it I know it's wierd it won't help me out but for just that sake of relief, to supreess my anxiety for the time being. SO to reduce my anxiety, to suppress my anxiety I have to do that but I know that's not gonna help that just temporary relief and to get over it I have to break the OCD cycle w the obsession which leads to the compulsion obsession which leads to the anxiety and then it leads to the compulsion and compulsion again will lead to obsession of some kind of obsession have to break the cycle have to stop doing what is OCD makes us do what it makes us believe what it makes me believe is false so it's just fools us so we don't have to believe wha it says.

So, I constantly look at doors and windows when they are opened. And I will look over them constantly when I feel nervous. It’s something my sister noticed. My coworker just mentioned it the other day, and I really didn’t know how to explain it. But in my mind, I just want to make sure it is opened and how opened even if that doesn’t matter with what I’m doing. I just feel like I have to, like something bad will happen. But when I’m really nervous I’ll do it a lot of times until someone closes it. I will open and close apps repeatedly for example alarms because I need to make sure I set it but if I don’t open and close it several times I think it won’t work. Makes no sense. I’ll have some disturbing thoughts like people dying every now and then with random activities I do. I was thinking anxiety. This pandemic has really pushed back the help I wanted to get, some of these things have been interfering with normal daily activities now.

Hey hey, Face your fears.

You have obsession which causes you anxiety and to suppress that anxiety you do all of those stuff (stuffs refering to looking at the door and opening and closing the app time and again) which is called compulsions.

So just break the cycle tell your self that's no one gonna die. Don't do those things which your fear asks you to do just try ones it might cause you anxiety for time being but you will heal.

And if you feel like it's out of your consult you can also consult Doctor. There is nothing wrong in going to doctor you know .

Just give yourself time and try to break the cycle it's not easy but remember not also difficult. You will heal and grow. You are not alone you know. 🌚
