I need to build support along as friends on my journey to a happier positive lifestyle. Having a boyfriend constantly verbally abuse me has left me a little broken yet also has made me stronger on leaving him and getting a place away from him. Now the guy misses me. I don't like that.

You did nothing to deserve being abused; no one deserves that. With the "I miss you" thing, don't take the bait. Your safety and well-being comes first. I hope you're doing well and can know that you are worthy of love and care from people even if someone didn't treat you that way in the past.

I know exactly how you feel. I just got out of a very toxic relationship with an emotionally abusive ex too. I am glad you are doing better. Stay strong.

Right you are not alone. So sorry about the verbal abuse. Please seek out those that will help and comfort. Have you thought about IC? Might be helpful to have an objective bystander to help process the trauma you have experienced.
