OMG ME TOO! I thought I was crazy when I thought this to myself. This happens to me every month before my cycle and I am miserable. I feel sad and anxious and overthink every little thing, I feel sick, I feel like I want to run away. Ugh it is horrible until it finally goes away. What I have done is start doing things like washing dishes or something where I can focus my attention on it because otherwise I will be in my head with these crazy thoughts. I have heard that hormone fluctuations can make anxiety worse, so I am still trying to figure out something to cope with. You are not alone!
Yes, my anxiety definitely increases during PMS and I basically feel like a sack of garbage the few days before and days 1 and 2 of my period. I try and just do relaxing things that I enjoy. I like to get a cup of tea and a blanket, and then I hibernate on my couch and binge watch whatever show looks good or read a book. I also take super hot, long showers because that always helps relieve my stress. I load up on carbs too, pasta, potatoes, bread (I do choose healthy carbs, though, like 100% whole grain). I try and get plenty of sleep too, if I'm tired during the day and I'm able to take a nap, I do. Basically I just try and avoid tasks that will increase my anxiety and stress, and wait till I'm feeling a bit better to tackle those tasks.
