Does anyone wake up with anxiety? Flutters in your chest. Now I know it's from the stress that has accumulated but this impairs me. Leads me to never wanting to get out of bed. What helps you fight this feeling?

Hi yes I wake up with that anxiety feeling, I know it's because I have to face the day ahead. I have just had a shower which has made me feel a bit better & it helps because the sun is shining.

Stress can overwhelm. There are days whe I just don't want to wake up bcz for me stress tend to make shake and my heart would beat so fast. I have noticed the pattern though, if I have nothing worrying me, I do not have stress. For me stress comes from things that are troubling me at that particular time and I have learnt the secret to deal with it. There is this pranayama which I do. I breathe in 15 seconds and 3 seconds out for seven minutes. Even if it happens during the knight. I take my phone and I open my prana breath app which is found in play store and I do it and in seven minutes, I go back to sleep. But thoughts are still there, it just the stress thing that goes away. The next thing I do is find out if my thought are based on facts, bcz most of the time we fear the unknown and this is whe discipline comes in and once I find that they are based on fact, I look for ways to solve it. This is the only way to deal with enxiety. I recently started aprreciating depression. Who does that? It is me. The reason is that I now know what causes it. So dealing with negetive thoughts that are not based on facts but fear never helps, I push them aside by fire by force. I can now detect when neg thouths creeps in and shove them where the moon does not give light. Ofcourse I wouldn't do this without the breathing exercises which deals with the physical parts of the brain and communicates with the body. So I have my tools. Most of the days I am feeling very good and bcz I know once I forsake my two secretes which i have mentioned I would fall back to depression. So no matter how good I am feeling I do the breathing exercises everyday, I have timed the app to remind me twice a day. Bcz stress rary comes and we are warned not to do the stress frequently, I do the anti-depression breathing exercise which is (5-5 or (10-10) like 5 in and 5 out or 10 in and 10 out for seven minutes. What this depression ratio does is that even when u get bad news, ur stress level remain under control. This is my pill for enxiety and it works perfectly fine with me.

My anxiety and depression is always worse when I first wake up. It's like stranglers said, I have to face another day and I don't want to get out of bed.

The best way to combat this is have a morning routine. Do the same thing every morning, in the same order.

A repetitive routine you can do in your sleep will help you through morning anxiety. It gives your brain something to concentrate on while forgetting your anxiety.

Be Well.
