I have been prescribed Paxil but heard that the SSRI Paxil is the worst offender in causing weight gain, is there a way i can avoid gaining weight while on Paxil or is it inevitable that i’m going to gain weight, i’m incredibly worried..

Unfortunately, there isn't BUT keep in mind that not everyone gains or loses weight on a medication. I was on Prozac for years and it never affected my weight. I would rather you gain a little bit of weight than to see you depressed or have anxiety! You will still be the same person whether you lose or gain a bit of weight!
so there’s really no way to prevent weight gain from this medication even if i diet and exercise? i also have high blood pressure and i managed to loose over 30 pounds last year to get my physical health on track, i was very proud of myself and i don’t want to gain it all back, especially with my condition the medication i have says it’s the worst in gaining weight and the hardest to get off of, should i ask about switching meds before it’s too late?
I don't know anyone who has taken Paxil that gained weight on them. There ARE many types of anti-depressants that do cause weight gain but I don't believe Paxil is one of them. I've heard that Paxil is one of the best anti-depressants that has been around for a long time.
Which antidepressants cause the most weight gain?
The antidepressants most likely to cause weight gain include amitriptyline (Brand name: Elavil), mirtazapine (Remeron), paroxetine (Paxil, Brisdelle, Pexeva), escitalopram (Lexapro), sertraline (Zoloft), duloxetine (Cymbalta), and citalopram (Celexa).
You can gain weight on a lot of these meds just keep in mind you might gain 5/7 lbs but often you can take it off there’s the tired adjustment period that I think causes some of this too. Just watch your diet awhile lower carbs and sugar yes to protein twice a day and veg. Watch for hidden sugar
