Has anyone else here been diagnosed with bipolar disorder with adhd and generalized anxiety. I don't respond well to normal doses of medication. And I'm so worried about to bipolar part. There are bad stigmas associated with it. And also. Anger. I never get angry. But could it turn into anger,? I couldn't live with myself if I hurt a family member. I heard its hard to treat when there is alot of adhd involved.

Hi BrianTR, I have only been diagnosed with GAD and panic disorder, however I wanted to respond to let you know you are not alone.
Try not to worry about the diagnosis itself. Focus on the recovery part. Learn what you can from your doctor or therapist so that you have all the knowledge you need. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The only stupid question is the one that you didn't ask that keeps you up at night, lol.
I wish you well on your road to recovery. Take things one day at a time.
Be Well.
Hello. I have bipolar disorder, but I've never had ADHD. It's rough getting this diagnosis, I understand how you feel. You wonder why me??? Just remember that there is so much more to you than this awful label. You HAVE bipolar disorder, but that is only one part of you. You still are a person and you have your dreams and hopes and things youre good at just like anyone else. Don't let people treat you like crap just because you have this diagnosis. A great channel on YouTube that you might want to check out is Polar Warriors. Rob is a great guy on there and it gives great information and support. Good luck to you!!!!!
I have been diagnosed with the same as you and social anxiety disorder. My doctors have tried so many medications over the years. Most I tried bad side effects. They have finally found a combo of medicine that helps but during the manic stage mixed with adhd the medicine really doesn't help.I've had to learn different ways to handle it. Like counting in my head when i get upset. Don't respond when you are angry. I have to walk away and think before I respond. Most important stay at home during this episode to avoid irrational decisions and extreme spending.
I'm not saying these will work every time but, they do help.
Everyone tells me to get a hobby. That might work for you. I've tried it myself but could focus long enough to have interest.
Hope this helps
