No. Seroquel on its own is sedating.
If your doctor did this they are increasing your risk for serious side effects one being Central Nervous System depression which is dangerous.
I don't know for certain but I take 300mg Quetiapine (Seroquel) and Buspirone (minor tranquilizer). Sometimes I will add Promethazine (Phenergan, Sominex) which is also a sedative. I know that Zolpidem (Ambien) is benzodiazepine related so maybe that interaction is not safe. I would expect a doctor to know which medications contradict each other before prescribing. I don't know if that helps at all x
