100% agree but i think we can change it as we learn from experience and learn our partners. My mom mistreated my dad by demanding him to constantly do things for her so i went into my first relationship thinking that was normal.. then learned really quick that that's how you lose people. You also learn what you want in a partner if you have good parents. It sounds strange but that's my thoughts on it.

I think yes for some (maybe most) but it was not for me. My relationship views as in who I chose to be partners were solely based on my mother’s treatment of me, controlling, manipulative, lacking emotional stability, non nourturing.. I seemed get in relationships less than healthy. My parents have been happily married and still are 55 years plus (I’ve lost count).

I’d say yes, but it can be any significant relationship growing up really. Views can change as we grow up, just hope we can also change patterns if needed.😀
